To create a world where every child, of every ability, has the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and nurturing educational environment.
MISSION
To provide high-quality professional learning opportunities to early intervention and preschool staff and promote statewide adoption and sustainability of effective relationships and instruction through interagency collaboration.
FUNDING
State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG)
Funding for PEPTI comes from a five-year State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) awarded by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) at the U.S. Department of Education. SPDG grants are competitively awarded to state education agencies to help reform and improve state systems for personnel preparation and professional development. PEPTI is a collaboration between the California Department of Education, the Special Education and Early Education Divisions, and the Department of Developmental Services. The project is facilitated by partners at the Napa County Office of Education’s (NCOE) Research and Professional Development Center.
